About Nadine Bent-Russell

I am a Jamaican born, United States suburb-raised group facilitator, keynote speaker and transformation strategist.  I am highly effective and possess unique cross-cultural, educational, community and personal experiences. For more than 35 years I’ve spoken in a number of venues on a number of subjects addressing local, state, national and international social policy.

I have delivered more than 200 trainings (virtually and in person) as well as live recorded podcasts and spoken at various campuses of the University of California on topics regarding equity, housing, education, technology and others.

As a facilitator of multicultural groups from various socio-economic backgrounds, I meet each participant where they are with perspectives on diverse worldviews quickly bringing them around to tools and perspectives that enable them to be effective and powerful with challenging conversations.

My background is also in IT Program Management having progressed technically in many sectors of Information Technology. I entered the University of California, Davis as a Computer Science major and graduated in Political Science/Public Service having completed senior research on affordable housing and other subjects.

I consider myself spiritually mature as a graduate of a conservative school of ministry - The Rock School of Ministry. I realized a non-traditional view after years of growth through the Black church, and the White charismatic and evangelical traditions.

Reflecting my commitment to a healthy lifestyle, years ago, I was a record-breaking track and tennis champion, and still enjoy many athletic endeavors. One of my community commitments was operating PGK (Preacher’s Grand Kid) Services, a residential and small business technology consulting service since 1988.

Most recently, I provided an article for a widely read blog. I am currently facilitating an Anti-Racist discussion group through Facebook, and considering writing a memoir about my local, state, national and international “purple unicorn” life experiences.
